The Robert Adger Smythe Award is the most prestigious award granted to a Pi Kappa Alpha chapter. Named in honor of Robert Adger Smythe, a former Grand Treasurer and one of the fraternity's most influential leaders, this award recognizes chapters that demonstrate the highest standards of chapter management, financial responsibility, and operational excellence. It is awarded biennially at the international PIKE convention to a select number of top-performing chapters.

Leadership
The Smythe Award is a testament to our chapter's unwavering commitment to personal and professional development. While Pike University provides a national framework, our chapter has built on this foundation with a personalized approach, leading by example in every aspect of our lives. We have implemented our own mentorship program, pairing every new member with an older brother. This one-on-one guidance ensures that every member is prepared to excel. From the classroom to the community, our brothers are recognized as leaders, demonstrating the values of integrity and excellence that this award celebrates.
Philanthropy
Our chapter’s dedication to philanthropy is a core reason we earned this award. Our brothers united for our annual Pike on Bike fundraiser, a powerful demonstration of our commitment to making a real impact. We rode a stationary bike for 8,423 minutes, a minute for every cyclist and pedestrian tragically killed by a driver in 2023. This effort raised over $50,000 for The White Line Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to improving road safety. This philanthropy is more than just fundraising; it's about honoring those who have lost their lives and advocating for a safer community, demonstrating our dedication to serving others and leading with purpose.
